Sail Komodo 2013 activities undertaken to promote tourism in the province of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) to foreign countries. "One
of the expected impact of the implementation of the Sail Komodo 2013 is
NTT to promote tourist destinations all over the world so as to
strengthen the potential for increased economic and social welfare,"
said Head of Public Relations Department NTT Communications and
Information, Welly Pah in Kupang, on Tuesday (13 / 11/2012).To
support these activities, NTT provincial government are developing all
the potential of tourism in order to attract tourists to the province.Welly
said the implementation of the Sail Komodo 2013 to strengthen the
potential of improving the welfare of the community by increasing
employment opportunities, especially in the fields of marine, fisheries,
tourism and transportation.

Sail Komodo useful for accelerated development in the region and
empower communities to improve the economics of the family, and business
